Berkshire Granfers...........Bowling for charity; bowling for fun!
Berkshire Granfers Bowling Association has existed for almost 60 years and today plays approximately 20 fixtures per year. We bowl both indoors and outdoors to raise money for nominated local charities, playing weekend friendly mixed matches against host clubs in Berkshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire.
On the 17th April 2012, prior to our AGM, we donated £3,500 to to 11 charities. On our Charitable Contributions page you can see which charities we supported.
We welcome new members, ladies or men, of any standard. Whether you want to bowl with us occasionally or frequently, we guarantee you a warm welcome and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon's bowling. Most of our members are already members of outdoor and/or indoor clubs in the area but that is not essential. We recognise, of course, that our members' first loyalty will be (and should be) to their clubs ahead of the Granfers.
Membership is only £5 per year; you can play as much or as little as you like!

As a Bowling Association we do not have our own club facilities but depend on the generosity of the local clubs who host our games. Without them we could not exist nor raise any money for charity.
